Geeky Wednesday: Cute Cars!

Pretty sure if anyone who owns one of these cars caught me calling them 'cute' I'd have a bounty on my head, but I really do think classic cars are super cute! So when the 501st got invited to the biggest car show in Alabama, you know I had to sign up to go so I could see the cars!

My dad has a '77 bronco (in cherry red, it's so pretty!) so when I saw this little '76 half cab gem I had to get some pics! My dad's bronco is a full cab, but they've been thinking of getting a half cab for my mom so they could both drive around in cute cars! I think that would be so romantic! This one is a year earlier than my dad's and it has a gas cap instead of a gas door, pretty sure that's the only difference hehe...
The car show was in Alabama, so there were quite a few more trucks than your average car show, but at least they weren't the mud riding kind! (yeah there were some rock crawlers there, but I seriously doubt any of those ever get muddy =P)

My favorites though have to be the old school classic cars, so pretty! Of course, since my dad has an old car, I know how not fabulous they are to ride in, lol! He's got a/c and insulation and everything, but those old school parts just don't cut it compared to modern cars, it's such a shame too because the old cars are so much nicer to look at!

Since we were there to work, we got to view the cars before the public came in, so that once the show opened we could hop into costume and make some kids happy!

I got all fancy and wore my Imperial Officer outfit, it's almost finished and ready for 501st submission! Of course, being a car show, I also showed off in my Slave Leia costume on Saturday, I mean what goes better with sexy cars than a sexy woman in a bikini? The car show sponsors a bikini contest each year, and in previous years has had some bikini cheerleader group or something come out, so it was a no-brainer to bring out the Star Wars equivalent to bring some eyes to our backdrop... I even had a few fans push Darth Vader out of the way so they could squeeze in for a photo next to me, lol!

My muscle man was a little worried about me wearing Slave Leia to an event that brings in so many 'redneck' people, so he wore his security shirt to make sure everyone knew his eyes were on me at all times hehe...
