Holiday Traditions

One of my favorite Christmas Traditions is a very non-traditional Christmas photoshoot. I've been keeping it up for 6 years! (and considering I'm only 25, that makes it a staple of my adult Christmas memories!) Since 2005 I've taken a Christmas photo each year in my Slave Leia costume, it started as a request from non other than the Slave Master himself, Jamin (leiasmetalbikini.com). I think Justin, my late ex-boyfriend, saw a comic with Slave Leia trying to fit into Santa's gift bag hehe, and we decided to make it into a real life version... So we shot a few rounds so Jamin could put it up on the website for a fun and festive treat, and every year since then it's been a tradition of mine to don the bikini for the holidays! The bikini shoot has taken place in Florida, Mississippi, and of course in Alabama. In fact, I think only the first 2 year's shots, taken by Justin, were in the same city!

So this year me and my fabulous new hubby brought the tradition to our new place, even setting up the black backdrop across a hallway so that I could have a solid background =) I haven't been able to do many nice photoshoots in our new place, so this was quite the treat to bring out the studio lights and have a nice set up! 

 I got a few solo shots first, those are the easiest for me since I'm shooting the photos myself, and it's way easier to figure out framing when there's only one person in the photo. The shadows on my arm/shoulder are unfortunate, I swear my arms aren't that skinny and sickly looking!

We took several shots in different configurations, I figured what better place for a christmas gift slave girl to be found than under the tree?  Again, the lighting is kinda blah, as is the composition, but give a girl some credit for shooting self-portraits in a skimpy little number like this!

Our first "first Christmas together" ornament! We have two of them now, and they are both super cute! Too bad our photo of it isn't, but this was one of the last shots we took, and we were both tired of taking photos and having to recompose cameras and lights and such, but I wanted to show off our ornament! 

Our living room looks super perfect here, I so wish the whole thing looks like this rather than just the 'corner' we created for the photo =P But we do have a fabulous TV armoire, and a great little chair that the muscle man loves using for playing video games!

Yup, that's the muscle man after I planted one on him haha! And that's the view from his faithful chair while all of this was going on, playing WoW, of course...
