Finally have the last of my photos from the other week's road trip, after watching the sunrise in the car overlooking the mountains in Gatlinburg, we headed back into town to visit the tourist trap that is "Ober Gatlinburg"... It's like an amusement park, except you pay for each thing instead of entrance to the "park" =P We were there for the last few days of snow tubing, but after seeing the snow they manufacture there we decided we were not dressed for the occasion nor did we want to pay the $40 per person hehe... So instead we paid $7 to ride the awesome chairlift to the top of the mountain. Then back down and back halfway up for a trip down their concrete slide thing, which they have made more safe since the last time I went down it which is awesome but it made it less fun lol... No pictures of that, we had to stick cameras and such in a locker before we went down =) That's really all we wanted to do there, so we headed back to town. The ride back down from Ober Gatlinburg was pretty cool though, they've got an aerial tram that's really fun despite being slightly chilly hehe...
Once we were down we grabbed a bite to eat and headed back into the park for a little hike! We settled on a 3 mile round trip hike to a waterfall, it was really pretty! I don't think I'd been to that waterfall before, not that I can remember at least, so it was a nice little treat =)
And now on to the deluge of photos! I always enjoy Gatlinburg for the photo opportunities, I take way too many pictures but I love it!
