There was crazy nasty weather yesterday, icky yucky sleet mixed with rain, and after only a few shots my camera was getting soaked (so was I, but I dry...electronics, not so much =P) So inside I went for my self-portrait, but before I came in I did get a few half-decent photos of the funny little frozen sprinkles...

The Story:

I really wanted to go out into the middle of the woods and do a nice, sweeping scenic shot, as much as I love the 50mm for close up shots, I think it does scenes well too... But after walking out from under the patio, I quickly realized that wasn't going to work because the freezing rain wasn't all frozen =( My poor camera was getting hit by big rain droplets, and semi-frozen ice balls that were melting as soon as they planted themselves on the warm casing... So I ran around to the front porch (which is uncovered) and went to my back-up plan which was to get some close up shots of the little frozen beads forming on the wood...
I really wanted to get my self-portrait outside too, but it was just too wet so I came inside and used the glass front door as my background so I still got a little of that icy feel even though the background is all out of focus.
I wish it had become real snow. I love the shots of you in the window, very nice light :)
