Somehow I managed to put several things as I was packing into the same boxes I had them in the last time I moved, kinda odd because I wasn't really trying to do that, but it all worked out that way. And of course fella wanted to get in on a photo, he's awesome like that hehe!
Obviously, my muscle man took moving very seriously =P We moved my bookshelf out to the truck first, but the lightsaber stayed for another trip... Which left it sitting right by the door, and the mistletoe hanging there gave the fiance the brilliant idea to recreate luke's first lightsaber practice on the falcon... He interrupted my trying to finish boxing up a few things to show me his little discovery...
And obviously, I'm the dork woman who starts laughing and heads straight for her camera to show off how awesome my muscle man is!
After all that foolishness though, we did finally wind up loading everything we could into the truck. Lucky for me this is the first 'across town' move I've done, so it's slightly less stressful because I can rely on just a truck and making lots of small trips. =) I'm hoping it stays relatively mild, we got several loads taken care of this weekend, but there's still lots to go! This trip we got several bookshelves taken care of, including the contents of the bookshelves, plus my massive nightstand. I caught a glimpse of one piece of my bookshelf I had forgotten to pack and snapped a picture before I took it down, it's a coloring book page of Jasmine a friend of mine colored for me about 3 years ago, when she was like 10! She's changed so much since then but she's still super awesome!

We started getting everything loaded into the truck and realized halfway through we didn't have any rope to tie down anything with it, and we had dropped off my car the night before in exchange for the truck to save gas. Plus there have been rumors of some sticky fingers around my apartment complex, so we really didn't want to take the muscle man's car to go find rope. Luckily I remembered my laundry line I put up this summer, it's a 30 foot telephone cord! So down it went and worked great for what we needed to tie down, luckily we hadn't put too much into the truck that was in danger of going anywhere. =P And no worries, for our next trip we upgraded to real rope haha...
Safe journey.
